Read that again,  but this time slowly. Take a minute and think about that.

How does that happen?

Could it be that we are on the go all the time?  Could it be that we do not say no enough?  Could it be that we are not present in our own lives?

I am not sure what it is or how it happens.

This I know for sure, I don’t want things to become ordinary.

Before arriving at a wedding, I just never really know what to expect in terms of venues. 

 I “knew” when I arrived at this church it was going to be amazing on the inside.

And she definitely did not disappoint.

This is what I call a “oh here we go” kinda of statement.  That normally, 9 times out of 10 depend on what country song I just heard or what image I just looked in my head or in an album.

Thankfully this time it is objective.  Fact related.  Nothing deep. Well kinda not deep.  The first part anyway. 

First part being…All I had was a point and shoot.  All the light I had was the moon.  And the view as I sat there with my hubby was spectacular.  So I did what I could with what I had.  Because really…. it was an awesome site.

the stats…Time 10PM  or later ..no flash, 3 glasses of wine down…2 second exposure f stop 4

Second part being…when I miss Tony and can’t seem to occupy my mind with anything else, I go to the pictures.  Doing what I can with what I have.

This image was the last date we had together back in June while in California visiting him before he flew off to the middle east, before my life really turned up side down.  It was a quiet little bistro just off the water.  The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing.

The thing is..this mom.  She has been there since the beginning.  Beginning of my business when there was some ugly ugly stuff.  She was there when the sun was shining brightly.  And then again with ms. mary came on the scene.  And then again when the sun shined brightly again.  Then she flew out of state just to be there for me.  And then I put her to work..much more than I think she had in store.

Then of cfourse there were days when folks used to think she was my mom.  We did “both” have blonde hair and blue eyes. Nevermind the fact she was like 14 or something.  And I would even bet she changed a few diapers of mine.

So, to say i wrote this a couple of times in my head is an understatement. 

When she asked to do a little session, I was happy to do it!

6 folks plus 20 minutes had my head spinning.  I was totally on my toes for this one.  Did I mention she is mom of 4?

It was actually her husband’s camera that I first used back in college in black and white photography classes.

Back to the session…luckily they don’t bite and have been with me since the beginning and beyond. So it was awesome!

We had some last minute location changed due to all the rain…but I could not be happier with the special gem we found.  The trashier the better for me.  :-) I was in the clouds..seriously loved it!

That is all I am saying.  period.

As wedding and portrait season is a bit slow,  as it always is during this time, I have been chillin. thus the once again lag in the blog.  so much to catch up on and blog about.

but first here is my not-a-new-years-resolution-list.

i don’t really get all caught up in the new years resolution. mainly because I don’t like to set myself up for failure.  I mean really..who keeps those?? …thus I give you the list. things i would like to do in the next year at some point.

kinda like a bucket list..but not.  on a much smaller scale for the year to come.

here you go in no particular order….

1) learn zumba.

2) update my website with new work.

3) actually live in the same house as my husband.

4) learn the art of coupon clipping.

5) skydive..once again.

6) run a marathon.

7) go meatless for a week.

I didn’t really mean a marathon..maybe a 5k.

9) drops some pounds.

10) get preggers so I can put the pounds back on and have a legitimate excuse.

11) find some peace.

12) photograph a wedding in Hawaii.

13) swim with dolphins.

14) learn ballroom dance.

15) hang around in new york for a few days to people watch. 

16) get a new cell phone. any suggestions?

17) build a snowman.

18) have a mud ball fight on coronado island..

19) photograph twins.
