Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place.

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

In the land of cyberworld, I have been hesitant to write about my personal life.  In an effort to keep connected to my friends and family, while still maintaining my privacy, I will now have all future post require a password.  If you have not been given the password yet, please text me, use the contact form here on the blog or email me.

Checking in…..

….Here is my update from THIS POST  Seeing how half the year is over. Not really sure when that happened but it did.  August is here and almost gone.  I wasn’t sure I really accomplished any of my 2010 Bucket List.  Time has really just flown by.  I thought I see how I am progressing :

1) learn zumba.

2) update my website with new work.

3) actually live in the same house as my husband.

4) learn the art of coupon clipping.

5) skydive..once again.

6) run a marathon.

7) go meatless for a week.

8) I didn’t really mean a marathon..maybe a 5k.

9) drops some pounds.

10) get preggers so I can put the pounds back on and have a legitimate excuse.

11) find some peace.

12) photograph a wedding in Hawaii.

13) swim with dolphins.

14) learn ballroom dance.

15) hang around in new york for a few days to people watch.

16) get a new cell phone. any suggestions?

17) build a snowman.

18) have a mud ball fight on Coronado island..

19) photograph twins.

Kidding on the preggers part…just seeing how careful you are reading.  Not funny you say???  (giggles on my part, sorry mom) Although that is a topic to discuss.  Anyone else consider deployments when discussing preggers??  Do you want to be alone during the pregnancy or during the first 6 months or last 6 months of the first year?? Or do you even want to go through it again when you are going to be alone away from friends and family yet again.   That is the question.  Things are so much easier when you have support.

I am working on the meatless for a week thing.  If I take the advise of my friend and read THIS BOOK, it shouldn’t be a problem to go meatless for life.  I am also wondering how it would effect my grocery bill.  No jokes folks, a pound of hamburger meat cost me $8.47 last week.  And it wasn’t even organic.  San Diego living is MUCH MUCH higher.

I haven’t found a ballroom class yet, but I am seriously considering getting back into ballet. Not really sure how my tush would look in a leotard.

Zumba totally totally rocks!   Even Em gets down with me in the living room.  When I went to my first live class last week, she awaited my arrival to see if Beto was “REALLY” there.  He wasn’t.  Claudia was and she totally rocks it! Seriously people you must try Zumba. It is sooooo much fun.

So how is your bucket list coming along??

Because every post is better with an image….Here is #18 minus the mud ball fight….HOTEL DEL

Pamelala - Jaw dropped on the floor - yeahhhh came out of my mouth (thinking what a great way to drop the ball) - read on - LOL - what a funny joke!!! PS: you know you look great in leggings and a tutu!

Shelia - @Pam, thanks my friend! Let us not talk about how I had to get that said tutu off! LOL!! That was a fun day!

Judy Newman - OK, Honey, I need a good excuse to move to Calli to be near my girls and I could not think of a better one that a new baby, but you may want to think past my box. Love ya

Shelia - @mom, we shall seeeeeee.

traci - Girl....I read that and said we tell each other everything. How in the world has she kept that a secret. Then I read on. LOL. Good one. I would love a new baby for you but you need to arrange it for summer so I can come out and help. Miss ya! Traci

Shelia - @Traci....i thought it was funny. Guess I know some folks read my little old blog! Why dont yall all just quit your jobs and move out here! Bring Lola and mom and dad and mickols and conrad and call it a day. Maybe strap Yuna to the roof and levi too!

Deborah - Yep... I was reading, and about fell off my chair! Thanks for the jaw dropping, gasping for air, knot in belly post!!!! Im speaking surely of the preggers part!!! Im so happy you are happy. Its been a long time coming, to spend it together with the ones you love the most. Time flies, although, being a military spouse it might feel otherwise. I can remember when we both were waiting for our men to come home, now here we are, safe in the arms of the men we love. I miss you girl! Glad to see you so happy!!!!

Kristin - I'm pretty sure I still have the tutu photos if you need them. I thought about getting back into ballet this year too. Didn't happen. On the pregnancy note - I opted for pregnant while he's deployed because I'd rather that he be here with the kid than here with my belly. I'll let you know how that goes when I've made it through a bit more of the deployment.

Rene - Congrats!!!! So excited for you that I can't read beyond #10!!!!

Rene - OK bummed!!!! Finally read the whole post!

susie - I am so going to help you cross lots of those things off your list before I move!!!! We have to get together again!
