Happy Monday all!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter…We did…It was awesome to be home for Easter. Here are some images from our Easter Party…
First things first..we had to dye the eggs for the Easter Bunny….

I of course had to get in on the fun and wrote some fab sayings on the eggs…like this one…it reads…”Shelia is my hero” for all the older nieces and nephews…I had some other clever words that I won’t publicly show my ability to get on their level!! LOL! As I wrote them I just giggled as I could see them reading them to themselves..super funny in my head…
Then we baked the cake….
Then Em feel asleep..which I thought it was such a sweet moment the way she slept..only to be ruined by the hubby when I was showing off the images…how did he rain on my parade exactly…well these are his words…”it looks like she is picking her nose”…men..what can I say!!!
We ate way too much food and played way too long of a game of phase ten…The next morning we woke for early morning church..em was super cute in her Easter Dress, but wouldn’t you know…the mom of a photographer didn’t get one image in her pretty Easter Dress.

I figured if Kate, from Jon and Kate Plus 8, can feed her family of 10 on $150.00 a week, so can I! I mean our family is 1/2 that size and I spend waaaay more a week on groceries normally. Plus we eat out most likely 3 days a week on top of that.
So I had a plan..yes I know… another plan..I get these hair brain ideas waaaay too often….so the plan was this…I received an email from my dear friend Crystal about this snazzy site…. http://www.southwestcouponclipper.blogspot.com/ I had also been seeing stories on TV about folks saving $100’s of dollars in one visit…So I figured how hard could it be really…the info is out there..I just need to do a little research..clip some coupons and go to the store…right?? right.
Well not so right….it was hard….first I made of list of things I wanted to cook and then I searched online for those coupons..took FOREVER…and I only came away with 3 coupons for that list of dinners…I think my first mistake was making the recipes first then looking for the coupons…
But I did save three bucks! it is a start, right? right.
So internet…help a sista out..what are the secrets in cashing in on all the savings at the store??

what do I love about being back home in a small town…being familiar….the way one Friday night track meet brings the entire town out..how it allows me to see three family members run in that track meet, to have my entire immediate family all in the same place, then also to run into some old friends, old co-workers, and folks that look familiar but you just can’t place them. familiarity is good…very good..
here is one of many images from that meet…

Speaking of familiarity…this is something I don’t want get familiar with…yesterday starts the journey..the journey of no hubby in the same time town, much less the same state, and soon to be not even the same country…the journey of a little girl not having her daddy…what is ahead I am not sure…what I do know is that I WASNT going to cry at the airport..unless she did..then well..all bets were off…she didn’t cry at the airport and neither did I…I almost did though..when the sweet little voice of a 3yr old blond hair blue eyed girl said…”i’ll miss you daddy”..then stuck her head in my shoulder…then only to say..”lets go home now”…
hopefully the year and half will fly by like the rest of our life seems to have done…until then here are the last moments I captured of a girl and her hero…

ciao for now…
