Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place.

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

In the land of cyberworld, I have been hesitant to write about my personal life.  In an effort to keep connected to my friends and family, while still maintaining my privacy, I will now have all future post require a password.  If you have not been given the password yet, please text me, use the contact form here on the blog or email me.

My new love affair…

Ikea Ikea o how I love thee….The love affair began at a distance…from a far  in the deep blue Internet..where it is safe to look and look and look some more…. so many times I would find my self typing in www.ikea.com but never did I pull out the credit card to purchase the things that I dreamed about.

I decided I {needed} or wanted or {had} to just go see for myself.  You know, go to second base so to speak.  Just go for a little peek.  Not to buy anything really.  All I really needed was one or two storage thingy or bobbers.  Nothing else really.  But just in case I {did} find something that I just {had} to have I cleaned out the back of the Pilot.  You know just to be on the safe side.  :-)

OMG that place totally rocks!  First you walk through a maze of show rooms that are beautifully decorated around every corner.  So hip and cool and fresh.  My mind was just running in overdrive.  All the flash backs of the decorating shows were running rampid.  I could this and this and that and oh remember when they did this….and on and on and on..I couldn’t make it stop..I was so freakin excited.

After the endless amounts of showrooms we walked through what resembled a normal store with departments for the vairous room in the home.

Then that is when it happen. I was sucked in.  There was nothing I could do.  They had me from the beginning…I slowly crossed over the threshold of “the children’s IKEA”.  Dream land really.

The results are this…

Mostly everything you see in the room came from www.IKEA.com

That fabulous rug has to be the softest thing I have laid my feet on.  That is from www.target.com and the bean bag as well.

The uber fabulous images on the wall are from my dear friends  SUWANEE(Emmersyn and I) and PAM (the whole gang)

The hubby wants me to put that and i quote…. “I did most of the work” meaning he did the work.  me talking again now…I totally beg to differ and so do my lungs and so do my feet and so does my back… I have to admit I did get sick  after a few hours of painting so I had to take breather. that {may} or {may not} of extended into an icecream and orea break. :-)

It took a day to paint and day to shop at IKEA and a night to put the furniture together and a day and half to pull it all together…and I-LOVE-IT!!! Emmy on the other hand says ” I kinda like it”  She was being a total turd…but I have had a hard time pulling her out of the room..so i am translating the “kinda” as “mom thank you so much for giving me such an awesome room…you are definitely my favorite person in the world!”
