Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place.

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

In the land of cyberworld, I have been hesitant to write about my personal life.  In an effort to keep connected to my friends and family, while still maintaining my privacy, I will now have all future post require a password.  If you have not been given the password yet, please text me, use the contact form here on the blog or email me.

I found a way….

The first trip I took my camera and totally looked like a tourist and that is okay.  We headed to the Riverwalk, something I am sad to say when I lived here beforeyears ago I never visited much. It is spectalcuar.  Beauty in abundance everywhere you turn.  I can tell that I have grown and changed as a person.  I guess with age it happens.  I have an appreciation for nature around me, the people around me, the air around me.  My bubble has popped that I used to live in.  The bubble of not really {seeing} things that i share this earth with.

One of the great perks about having my camera is I can now people watch and not be thought of as a weird-o.  I have always found people interesting and have always loved to people watch. So I was in my people watching happy place down at the Riverwalk.  There were all kinds there that day, cheerleaders walking around, graduates of bootcamp celebrating with their families, locals, tourist, kids, seniors, brides and grooms, workers, diners and boat riders, and then of course the men in red dresses.

After playing around with the tacky hats, we grabbed a favorite new comcation that I enjoy to the very last bite…Marble Slab’s Birthday Cake ice-cream with butterfingers.  Yum-O! Lucky for us there was a band playing out on the patio.  So there we were amongst the tourist and the locals eating our ice-cream just swaying with the music.

Come to find out the birds enjoy the ice-cream also.  Well not the ice-cream but the waffle cone that the ice-cream comes in.  Yeah thats right, if you are going to go for the ice-cream with the butterfingers you might as well go for the waffle cone as well! Who is with me!!??!!

So I found a way to get a table on a crowded patio with limited seating…invite these guys to the party and someone is sure to not be a bird lover..they might just get up and leave….not our family though..we love the birds….even when they do “fly bys”!!!

So next time you need a table…just feed the birds…

ciao for now..shel

Bambi Caldwell - Wow, can I just say M's hair grows like a weed!!! How do you get it to grow so well? You need to sell your pics to a travel magazine and write a little thing on the location. Next thing ya know you will be a published photog with your people watching skills!!

Shelia - Ciao Bambi!! How is Oki??!! The hair...I am not sure..I guess she is making up for the little hair growth she had as a baby...that or it is in this crazy Texas water..LOL!! i am very verrrry close to chopping it off. I am on board and Emmy wants it "short like mom's"..but her dad and grandpa needs a little more time to see things our way!

Carrie - I love your pictures! Looks like your mom and Em were totally having a blast. Yeah and if you're going for the great ice cream why not go for the waffle cone? Keep them coming I love looking at your work! Love you guys!

Shelia - hey hey carrie! That had a blast!! I would of sat out there all day long...We eventually ran out of food...moms were pulling out all the snacks we could find..the birds really liked the fruit loops too!

Suwanee - It is a beautiful world we live in, beauty is everywhere and you are blessed to be able to have the eyes and heart to see and capture the beauty. And more importantly---Life's fully complete when you order waffle cone with your ice cream, there's just no question about that.

rene - The riverwalk!!!! How fun...I used to love going there! It looks like it was a great day and the photos are great!
