The first trip I took my camera and totally looked like a tourist and that is okay. We headed to the Riverwalk, something I am sad to say when I lived here beforeyears ago I never visited much. It is spectalcuar. Beauty in abundance everywhere you turn. I can tell that I have grown and changed as a person. I guess with age it happens. I have an appreciation for nature around me, the people around me, the air around me. My bubble has popped that I used to live in. The bubble of not really {seeing} things that i share this earth with.

One of the great perks about having my camera is I can now people watch and not be thought of as a weird-o. I have always found people interesting and have always loved to people watch. So I was in my people watching happy place down at the Riverwalk. There were all kinds there that day, cheerleaders walking around, graduates of bootcamp celebrating with their families, locals, tourist, kids, seniors, brides and grooms, workers, diners and boat riders, and then of course the men in red dresses.

After playing around with the tacky hats, we grabbed a favorite new comcation that I enjoy to the very last bite…Marble Slab’s Birthday Cake ice-cream with butterfingers. Yum-O! Lucky for us there was a band playing out on the patio. So there we were amongst the tourist and the locals eating our ice-cream just swaying with the music.

Come to find out the birds enjoy the ice-cream also. Well not the ice-cream but the waffle cone that the ice-cream comes in. Yeah thats right, if you are going to go for the ice-cream with the butterfingers you might as well go for the waffle cone as well! Who is with me!!??!!
So I found a way to get a table on a crowded patio with limited seating…invite these guys to the party and someone is sure to not be a bird lover..they might just get up and leave….not our family though..we love the birds….even when they do “fly bys”!!!

So next time you need a table…just feed the birds…
ciao for now..shel
