Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place.

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

In the land of cyberworld, I have been hesitant to write about my personal life.  In an effort to keep connected to my friends and family, while still maintaining my privacy, I will now have all future post require a password.  If you have not been given the password yet, please text me, use the contact form here on the blog or email me.

watering the grass texas style…

It was a beautiful Texas day..Blue skies, light wind and dead grass….we were having a church fundraiser for the youth that day…I was inside watching Em play on the playground through the window..I saw her little legs run all the way to my brothers house to find herself emptying out her shoes of whatever made its way inside..Which is totally normal..she has a thing about things being on her hands or in her shoes…then a shocking move..which is not normal..she pulls her pants down…which I guess should not shock me..she is three and does something random every moment it seems…as I still wonder why the heck she does this, she makes her way across the field back to the church…I meet up with her only to hear these words…

EMMY: Mom I peed on my pants..

ME: What?

EMMY: I peed on my pants…

ME: Em why didnt you go to the bathroom?? (remind you the girl has been potty trained since she was 2)

EMMY: Because we are in Texas….

wait for it …wait for it…

EMMY: and in Texas you pee outside….

ME: (floored..stunned…shocked…laughing like crazy inside)

ME: No you dont Em…you go the bathroom and use the potty

EMMY: the boys do it…

There you have it…like the saying goes…when in rome do like the romans..and when in texas do like the texans!

Needless to say she has alot of little boy cousins that I had a little talk with!

Here is my Em in all her glory with GORGOUS Texas golden light!

ciao for now…shel

Mandy - This is great! When my daughter was that same age, she squatted down and peed right on my front sidewalk with neighbors and all around for no reason whatsoever. Ijust about died laughing! We also live in Texas.

Shelia - ciao mandy!! that is the funniest thing ever! Glad to see I am not the only one with a girl that has a mind of her own! Where are you at in Texas???

Leslie - OGM!! TOO FUNNY!!! Your little one sounds like a firecracker! I love to hear your stories about her. Fantastic pics by the way! Awesome golden light!

Amiee - That is so freakin funny! I would of loved to hear that conversation! Your daughter is beautiful!

Shelia - Ciao ciao Leslie! She {is} a firecracker! Keeps me on my toes for sure! The light was so yummy! We have been building a fence all week and every night at sunset I kept saying...I need to get my camera!

Shelia - Hey there Amiee! Oh man you should of heard her. She was so matter of fact in her reason for peeing at outside. I was rolling!

Kim - I am surprised she didn't do that in Oki! Didn't you ever see random Japanese men peeing on the side of the road, and kids at the beach just gettin "nekkid" and letting it flow?! Hahahaha! My son is 6 and he still thinks it's okay to pee outside! :)
