Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place.

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

In the land of cyberworld, I have been hesitant to write about my personal life.  In an effort to keep connected to my friends and family, while still maintaining my privacy, I will now have all future post require a password.  If you have not been given the password yet, please text me, use the contact form here on the blog or email me.

Run Forest R.U.N!!!

That one liner has been playing in my head over and over and over again!! Where have I been??  I have been R.U.N.N.I.N.G and running some more and then walking and then running and then walking and then by the end of it I want to reach for my necklace that sends the message that I have fallen and just cant get up! H.E.L.P!  That is the beauty of being back in America, the {AWESOME} commercials you can get to see every 10 seconds!

After 5 pregnancy tests…yes count them 5…1..2..3..4..5…the first one I went the generic route…”inconclusive” it said…then I bought the high dollar one as if the price makes it better…”inconclusive” once and then a “negative”..really negative..how can that be..i am ballooning up like a pregnant person would…so then comes the doctors test..negative…and negative……I guess I am now convinced that the weight gain is not due to being prego (not that we were trying) but due to one too many lattes (from Mc Donalds..yes Mc Donalds..would you believe there is NO STARBUCKS within 60 miles of this place..I am tempted to call 9-1-1  for the emergency!) and due to one too many bags of Little Caesars Crazy Crazy Bread, one too many oreo blizzards from Dairy Queen, and one too many breakfast tacos from a down home cooking bacon egg and cheese joint….annnnnndddd maybe all those last minute runs to Caprisosa’s before I left Oki are finally catching up with me!!

So I had no choice…I had to run…and keep running…I was NOT buying any more clothes until my normal ones fit me again..Though I desperately need more clothes….really really bad…See I had this brilliant idea to get rid of all my clothes but maybe 4 outfits so I could just shop shop and shop some more in a REAL store that fits the American curvy chic…So for all the folks that see me around town, yes I am wearing the same thing you saw me in the day before yesterday and yes I did wash it…well not the jeans because then they would shrink!!  And we cant have that!!

So there you have it..that is what I have been doing..running! oh and shoveling horse and cow poop! That is thing about living in the country where horses and cows run freely likes cats and dogs…some mornings you are greeted with a fresh pile of poop!  Works out perfect with my red patent leather peek toe heels!  You can see where this is going..and I will leave it at that!

Oh and we have been parting like rock stars!  Before we left Oki we have about 5 parties in a roll..Emmy’s friends had birthday parties galore…not really sure what was happening 9-10 months ago..but the men in the world must have had smiles on their faces…then we had a huge going away party…then we had a great bash for welcoming us home here in Texas…And you know we had the best Texas BBQ you can find..my brother tended the pit all day…we had a bounce house and wanted to have pony rides but after 2 days…yes two days of shoveling ALL the horse poop I could find, we put the horses and pony up ..there was no way I was shoveling ANYMORE POOP….then we forgot to bring Yuna (Emmy’s pony) back out for the rides..oh well…it was still a blast!! Great to see old friends and all the family!  Emmy was on cloud nine!!

No images to post…because I haven’t picked up my camera but once..to capture my nieces last basketball game..and that is it..I even mailed my gear back home hoping to get a break…Things were super duper busy in Japan that I wanted some time to regroup and hang with the fam. And I just love to document and find cool places to shoot..that I knew if my camera was in hand I would do it…I just cant help myself…So the only way to have a break is to not have my camera…so off to the mail it went…and happy to report it arrived safe and sound….

Hopefully by next post I will have my computer and photog stuff here in Texas with me so I can get back in the swing of things…and I can finally wash my pants becuase all this running HAS to pay off..it just has too..then I won’t have to worry about shrinkage anymore!!

tell then…off I go to run some more!!!

ciao for now..shel
