I just love the holidays! As I confessed already…waaaaaay before Thanksgiving I was already playing Christmas music! I love the colors, the music, the smiles, the magic, the spirit. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of it all..we can forget the real reason of the holiday. The Christmas Spirit. As I sat wrapping the up teenth present of Em’s, I thought about those less fortunate. As I counted which ones would be for the tree and which ones would be for her birthday (which is 3 days after Christmas) I thought about those parents that are wondering not how many present will be under the tree but IF there will be presents under the tree for the kiddos. I thought about those that have experience tragedy. I thought about those that are going through way more than they let the world know.
Then I thought about what would those parents want under the tree. Which lead me to this…I think the best gift is the gift of memories. The gift of portraits of their loved ones. Portraits of those that keep them going everyday. The gift of laughter. The gift of smiles. The gift of love. The gift of beauty. The gift of giving.
This is what I want to do…I want to give the gift of memories. I need your help! I need your help in finding the perfect family for this gift.
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography session– plus print goodies. Whether it’s canvas or albums, prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to watch over and over, it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a complimentary custom photography session. (valued at $300) What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
* The nominee must reside in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and the surrounding cities. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

*All entries must be received by Dec 23rd. The chosen family will be notified by the person that nominated them just in time for Christmas.
*Sessions will take place before June 09.
