Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place.

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

In the land of cyberworld, I have been hesitant to write about my personal life.  In an effort to keep connected to my friends and family, while still maintaining my privacy, I will now have all future post require a password.  If you have not been given the password yet, please text me, use the contact form here on the blog or email me.

Peanuts…get your PEANUTS…cold drinks…COLD drinks…

Can’t you hear it…the cute little fellas with bellies that extend way past an overdue prego one because of all the loot they are carring saying…peanuts…get your peanuts…cold drinks…COLD Drinks…right here…now…right here…

or the great old song…take me out to the ball park..take me out to the park…buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks..i dont care if we ever go….yada yada…(i forgot the rest)

well this is exactly what goes through my mind every-time I receive a phone call or email asking about sports photography…and with the baseball season in full gear here in oki…the calls are weekly now..so the question for the week is…”Do you takes sports pics?”

Answer: yes and no.

I love sports…I have always been in sports…and as everyone knows in texas sports are HUGE…sports run through our blood…and like alot of folks I have TONS of sports pics from the years that I am holding a ball on one knee cheesing for the camera…YUCK-O!!! Totally boring..

To ask the question again..No I dont “do” sports pics as those described above…

The type of sport images I am into are ACTION ones…dust in the air because your boy just stole second base…or the pitcher throwing the last strike to end the game…the outfielder catching a pop-fly to get to the top of the ninth…images you want to remember…moments you will talk about with your friends..or call home to tell grandpa…

I dont really see anyone talking about how that got to hold a bat while a flash went off and someone said “cheese”.  LOL!!!

My portrait photography is about upclose and real images…and that is what you get for sports too.  I think that is what we all want…real moments to remember…real moments that are frozen in time so that we don’t forget…real moments captured that we can tell stories about when everyone gets together…

here is sneak peek of what sports photography means to me…

see you tomorrow!
