Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place. 

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

Boot Camp??..What BootCamp??

Happy Wednesday All! 

Today’s Q&A is all about the boot camp that I talk about in the Monday Post.  I realize that I have never said where it is…Not sure how I missed that minor detail..but all the questions that were coming in helped me realize that…So here are all the W’s on THE boot camp…

It is 1 Moore Rep Fitness Center…John Moore is the man in charge..he does it all…All the classes…all the phone calls..everything..he does it..how I am not sure because he has classes from 4AM all through the day until 8:30 or so at night.  He is getting some other folks to offer more classes and one-on-one training.

It is on the road between Kadena Gate 2 and Foster.  I think that is 330…I am really bad with road names..I am more of landmark kinda of gal..So here are directions my style..

From Foster…Travel towards Kadena Gate 2…Go straight through the light for Plaza Housing and Awase…You will see that climbing gym on the left and the lawsons on your right. Keep going…There will be  a series of short buildings and then you will curve a bit…and a tall building on your LEFT in front of you will emerge with a pair of lungs on it.  This building is a stop light…  This is your key landmark.  The Fitness studio is just before this light on the Left.  There is a Red Coca Cola Machine in front of the studio.  His Sign is Red White and Blue.  If you get to the Kadena Gate 2 light (Koza Music Town) then you went about 3 lights too far. 

He offers:

boot camp classes Monday-Friday at 4AM, 5AM, 9:30AM and 6PM. 

It doesn’t matter what time you go, I have been to all except the 4AM..That is just nutso getting up that early..more power to them!  I go to which ever fits in to my schedule for the day.  The boot camp class offers a lot of motivation and concentrates on getting your normal “will” out of the way..Pushing yourself to levels you didn’t think were possible.  He is not mean..he doesn’t yell..he just makes you do things that you would not normally do on your own…like 400 push-ups in one set and start all over if someone walks in late or gives up..even if you are on 399…so never never never never walk in late..now matter what it takes..get there on time…you don’t want to be the reason people have to do 800 push-ups at one time..not cool at all..this has happen waaaay too often..and it isn’t fun!  Then the class begins and we normally do 2 exercises to exhaustion the entire class.

Step and Tone-Tuesday and Thursday 11:30AM

This is an awesome class…it is low impact step aerobics while lifting light weights the entire time after warm-up..the weights feel about 60lbs by the end of class..I feel this class I get the most full body workout…

Tone and Abs-Monday and Wednesday 11:30AM

The varies each class..we are always doing something different..he comes up with the craziest exercises that focus on areas that i didn’t know existed.

Boxing-Monday and Wednesday 5PM

Love love love love this class..I can really tell how strong I am getting in this class..We practice technique and then shadow box..I am normally boxing with John and it is a GREAT workout..I am soooooo spent at the end of this class…Great ab workout too!!

Cardio Funk-Tuesday and Thursday 5PM and Saturday 7AM

This class is a totally insane step areobics class…it is super fast ..incrediably fast….super duper fast…did i mention fast….and the series of steps we do uses some serious amount of energy…

Then he offers nutrition class and commisary tours too..

If you show up to the classes and get your eating in check then you will have some awesome results..I lost nearly half my body fat in the first 4 weeks….(It is now over half my body fat) and I eat…I eat ALL the time..every 2-2.5 hours..ofcourse I am not eating cakes and icecream and chips…but I eat…fruits, veggies, protein, grains, you know the normal stuff we should be eating…fresh stuff…..the funny part is that stuff starts to taste like dessert to me…the carrots and apples are super sweet to me now that I dont eat the other kind of sweets..I try really hard to stay away from processed foods…the boxed, pre package kind.  It doesnt always happen but 90% of the time it does…

So there you have it..the 411 on all things bootcamp..shel :-)
