Shelia Stone Photography bio picture

Ciao! Welcome to the blog-Upclose and Real

Sono Shelia!  To sum up...I am a mom that adores her little one, a navy wife and I gal that just loves her family and friends..Oh and this small little obession I have with Italy!  I am a lover of all things Italian.  The food.  The people.  The shoes.  The clothes that I will never be able to wear. The 4 hour mid-day breaks.  The slow life.  One day I will live there again.  And when I do you can bet my lens will go everywhere with me.  Because that is just what I do- document.  I document everything.  And that is what you will find here on this blog.  My journeys in life.  The day to day happenings here at the studio. My little one and all her glory. And of course images galore!!

There is no spell check or grammar check in my world.  My apologies up front.  If you like what you see, send me some love.  Comments make me smile and let me know I am not alone in this big big cyber world!  Plus, I just *love* meeting new folks! So don't be shy..I don't bite and neither will anyone else on this blogsphere..and if they do..I'll pull their hair!

Farmers Market-off the beaten path

Happy Friday All!!

Today’s new find is a gem just minutes from Camp Foster.  If you are paying any attention at all when you go to the Commissary, you have noticed the prices are going up and up on fresh produce.  And the quality, well frankly put..sometimes sucks!

I have the answer…A Fresh Farmers Market straight out the Sergeant Major Gate of Camp Foster.  Takes like 3-5 minutes to get to.  They have anything and everything there and it is dirt cheap.  We go there 2-3 times a week for all the fresh yummies.  I pick M up from school and down the road we go.  She loves it there because they have a pet monkey, cat, kittens and a hamster.  The folks there are super nice and let her hang out in the back.  She gets to see some animals and I get to shop for fresh food for a fraction of the cost.   I take my reusable bag and fill it up.  Normally it is about 7 bucks that I spend for a FULL bag..You know the green bags at the Commissary.  They are huge!!  That is how reasonable the fruits and veggies are there.

Directions…Go STRAIGHT out the Sergeant Major Gate (Westpac gate..NOT gate one that is under construction currently).  You will drive over a little bridge with the Express way under it..Then take a RIGHT..There is a little pink sign in the road that says,  ” Cherry Blossom Preschool”  Follow the road until it “T’s” then take a RIGHT…follow the curvy road…the market will be on the left hand side on a curve at the bottom of the hill.  There is a red light just past the market.  They only take yen.

And for M’s Grands and PawPaw back home…Here she is calling you…

She ran into this dirty, disgusting, germ invested…did i mention dirty, phone booth..just so she could call her grands and pawpaw and let them know she is coming to Texas where the armadillos and cows are.

Happy Shopping and see you next week!

Shelia

Grans - We got the call, and we are counting down the days. The cows and Dora Belle and Dolly (the horses) are getting excieted too. We are working on Snickers. Well, in this picture I see more of her daddy than you in her face, she is a cutie. Emmy you call anytime. Love G

Shelia - I am telling ya...she is her daddy made all over...the girl doesnt look a lick like me..maybe one day. :-) I cringed the whole time she was in that booth!

Mandy - Hey! You work out in the 11:30 class I was going to at 1 Moore Rep. Too funny. I have heard alot about your photography and I just found your page and I happen to already "know" you(well kinda since we don't talk at class as we are busy). :) I'm joining bootcamp on Thursday so I'm really excited about the fresh fruit market you posted. We pretty much gave up on fresh fruits because we couldn't afford them anymore, but I LOVE them! And I saw those awesome tutu costumes by Cambria. My 6 month old daughter is going to be a bumble bee done by her. She has been awesome to work with and is even making a sweet bee bow to match her costume with some ribbon I found that she is going to order.

Shelia - Ciao Mandy!! Thanks for stopping by!! Yay on the bootcamp!! You are going to love it...well actually most likely hate it during class but afterwards you will love it! :-) Come up and say hi! I will be there on Thursday..which class time are you doing?? The farmers market is great because it is super close and has lots to choose from. And I second that on Cambria..she rocks!
