Q&A for this week comes from repeated request of having a one on one day of shop talk with me. Yes, finally I will offer an ALL ACCESS Pass to anything and everything. Which if you have been following me at all or have meet me, know that I am an open book anyway. I will tell you anything you want to know, show you anything that you want and basically give you the shirt off my back. But it comes in little spurts of time that I have available. A quick email or a chance of running into each other or this blog or a photog shin-dig that I get folks together for.
So what is the difference here??…You have me all to yourself..It is actually scheduled into my day. What will we do?? Anything you want…Talk, shoot, post process. Folks are always surprise to know that I have only had my buisness open for 3.5 months…So we talk about that..How I have made it a successful photog buisness that it is today in such a short amount of time. Without putting my time, my family and my images “on sale”. What my thinking is and the stragery behind everything that I do.
To give you the 411 on what I did on the recent ones I did:
This first one was a photographer that is opening her business:
We meet for coffee and had Q&A..We discussed business stuff, branding, resources, vendors, marketing, pricing etc. Nothing was off limits…Then we went shooting…She wanted to see how I shoot newborns..So that is what we did..I scheduled a baby for us and had a little newborn session. Then we grabbed some lunch and chatted some more about websites, blog, policies, etc. And then back to my place for post processing ins and outs and work flow. She wanted examples of my model release, business plan and policies and procedures packet so I made copies for her. Before we knew it, it was the end of the day. She walked away with lots and lots of information to get her business up and running.
This second one is a mom that just got a DSLR and wants to how to work it and take better pictures of her kids:
We meet at her place so the kiddos could play and we navigated around her camera. We talked about all the lingo and how to get off auto mode. How to make the camera work for her. Then we played and played some more. She learned awesome tips and tricks of getting those natural expressions from her kids instead of the CHEESE!! So not good to cheese! Learned how to bring her “snap shots” to moments captured.
If you are interested, email me and we can chat about more details and rates.
See you tomorrow..
