Ciao friends and family!

This blog is now my personal space.  My life as it happens.  A way for friends and family to stay connected while we continue our military journey from place to place.

In the past this blog has been mainly a space to write about clients and their families. I will no longer be updating this blog with my recent commissioned work.

In the land of cyberworld, I have been hesitant to write about my personal life.  In an effort to keep connected to my friends and family, while still maintaining my privacy, I will now have all future post require a password.  If you have not been given the password yet, please text me, use the contact form here on the blog or email me.

Monday Ramblings #16

Happy Monday all!!

_________

I am watching The View  ..more like listening to it in the background…And a topic made me perk up and listen.  Moms letting other moms nurse their babies.  hmmmmm? Not really sure on that one.  I really have no idea what to say..speechless…I guess it would depend on the situation…What do you think??

Week 4 of the boot camp!  Whaoooo Whooooo!!  My clothes are super baggy! And the scale continues to go down!!  There was one day that actually craved oatmeal…I searched high and low for that oatmeal container…I was so super bummed I couldn’t find it anywhere.  I knew then, I was making progress in my food decisions.  Because there were donuts and cookies on the counter.  But I wanted oatmeal!  Go figure.  BTW..M was super sad to see her donuts in the trash the next morning.  She says to her daddy…”Mommy put my donuts in the TRASH!” Trash emphasised with hands on the hips and lips puckered.  Sooooo wish I had the camera at the very moment!

_________

Finally went to see the Sex and the City movie.  Took me forever to get there.  Luckily there were two other chics on the planet that had not seen it either.  I know, we should be fined and barred from the social scene.  Never-the-less, Pam, Caz and myself walked in just in the time for that little ditty of music that always makes me smile!  The movie of course did not disappoint.  I am still cracking up about when she crapped her pants and the forest scene! Super funny!

The Holiday Card Sessions were such a huge hit, I am opening another day for them!  This is a great way to be photographed by me for a fraction of the normal investment.  The deal is this… $80.00 flat…for that you get this:  the session, online gallery, one set of customized holiday cards and a-la-carte ordering option.  Interested??  Email me for more details.

So I have been TAG!!  In the Blog World!!!  Thanks Pam…here is my best shot…my memory is horrible..

10 years ago:  Who knows really…somewhere on the streets with camera in hand….studying for mid terms…eating roman noddles…tubing down the San Macros River…filling out an application for the Navy MWR intern program having no idea that it would lead me to Bahrain to meet my husband which would then bring me to Italy and then to Japan..finding myself 10 years later being Tag by a fellow photographer.

5 years ago: Living in Italy walking the streets with yummy gelato in one hand and  fresh homemade pizza in the other…. and traveling around Europe without a care in the world.

Kristie - Very Cool chair image! How ever did you do that?? Tell me your secrets! And for the nursing other babies..hmmmm?

Jen - Amazing as usual! I always feel like I "know" your subjects. The way you capture their eyes. Simply AWESOME!!

Shelia - Hi Kristie! Thanks for stopping by..Sorry it has taken me a few days to get back to you..Been a crazy week with sessions. I love the chair image too...modern yet rustic....I put the chair on the table and placed the subject with the window to the right of the subject. I dont have a studio, I use the homes of clients for newborn sessions. So I bring backdrops with me. And use CS3 to clean it up a bit. Hope that helps.

Shelia - Hey Jen! Thanks for your sweet words! I am always watching the eyes. Watching for the light, watching for that "look". You can tell some much about a person from the eyes. And I really try to capture that.
