I want to start by giving a great big shout out to my Pops!! Happy Happy Happy Birthday Dad! Love ya! And wish I was there to help celebrate with you! Maybe one day I will be in the same country for your birthday.

Great question…I do not have a memory of opening a pretty box to find a 35mm camera in their and skies opening up and the sun shining through… that you hear a lot. That is not my story…My story is this..my parents…My parents took us everywhere..And everywhere we went so did the camera and the video camera. Everything was documented. So documenting memories was just a way of life for the family. To have a camera in my hand was like having food on a table..Only natural.
Amongst friends, I was always the one with the camera…I was always documenting..documenting..documenting..documenting..I have containers filled with images from way back when..Pick a grade any grade..I can pull an image. May take me a while..since there is no whim or reason to my organization of these..but I can find one….The year book staff often came to me for images..Not because my skills were great but because they knew..knew…I documented it..Whatever they wanted…I was the go-to girl.
Then came college..I studied black and white photography. This is when I was first introduced to a “real” Canon camera. Not these point and shoots or disposables that my thumb normally played with..My uncle is into photography and graciously agreed to let me learn on his camera. I was extremely fascinated with the dark room and the entire process of processing film and then the final print. Spent many many many nights and days in that darkroom.
From their my passion became black and white travel photography. I have been all over the world documenting the lands and the people. Then the birth of my daughter changed it all. I quickly realized how time passes us by far too quickly. And how our little ones change before our eyes. I wanted to remember…Remember it all…The chubby legs..the tri-pod stance..the first wobble step..the first tooth..everything..I wanted to freeze the moment for just a second.
and here i am today and the rest..as the saying goes..the rest is history!
