Ciao! Welcome to the blog-Upclose and Real

Sono Shelia!  To sum up...I am a mom that adores her little one, a navy wife and I gal that just loves her family and friends..Oh and this small little obession I have with Italy!  I am a lover of all things Italian.  The food.  The people.  The shoes.  The clothes that I will never be able to wear. The 4 hour mid-day breaks.  The slow life.  One day I will live there again.  And when I do you can bet my lens will go everywhere with me.  Because that is just what I do- document.  I document everything.  And that is what you will find here on this blog.  My journeys in life.  The day to day happenings here at the studio. My little one and all her glory. And of course images galore!!

Is it true that you only have one eye?? 

Yes in deed!  Well to get technical…I have two eyes but only one I can see out of.  It has been like this for as long as I can remember..So life with two “seeing” eyes seem weird to me.  How do y’all function with two?? I guess having depth perception would be nice to have..maybe I wouldn’t hit walls when backing up or park so far away from the curb or have to reach twice for a glass..LOL!!! 

 All in all..it is not really a big deal…this is just how i am…the one eyed chic!!

Pamelala - Really? You have one seeing eye? That is amazing, since this is one of my greatest fears. I have lattice degeneration and my worst fear is getting a retinal detachment and losing sight and then I read this from a woman with a great eye (and one great eye literally, so I am realizing). That is the most amazing story I have heard in a long time...

Shelia - Ciao Pam! I have always had this condition...My retina is detached and my optic nerve is dead. So either way I was SOL! Since I have had this condition forever, it is not a big deal...I just work with it. If I dont pay attention, i will still hit myself with phone on the right side or run into wall when I am walking..It is really funny when it happens..I crack my self up all the time!! Over time the eye started to float, so I just recently had eye surgery to strenghten the muscles. Good times! I have some really cool high tech images if you want to see them.

Kristin B - I park too far from the curb and hit walls when I park and as far as I know both my eyes work!! Maybe I should get that checked out....

Shelia - LOL! Kristen...maybe you should get that checked..atleast you would have an excuse then... heheh...I hit another wall yesterday...Tony came in this morning and said.."what did you do to the truck this time??" the turning gets me every time! I need one of those smart cars...like a little box...instead i have the big truck. great decision on my end! LOL. See you next week! Super Stoked about our Shin-Dig!
