Fitness journal?? what the heck is that all about…….more like…fitness-better- stick- with -because- you- are- putting- it- out- there- for- everyone- to -read- kind- of- journal!
I am claiming my fitness journal to be this…highschool—rock solid muscle…go to college and gain the freshman 30 (who ever made up the freshman 15 was dead wrong)…go overseas to bahrain and sweat a few a pounds off…get in engaged and loss major weight to fit into a dress….get married and get back in shape…have baby gain the weight back….and the sad part is it was after she was born..not during the pregnancy….so can I really claim baby weight??
About 3 months ago I got this brilliant idea to start walking my M to school. It is an uphill route the entire way! Why exactly I decided to this well..not really sure now..but something to do with my pants getting tighter and tighter and having less and less time to get to the gym. I was going at the crack of dawn to the gym, I am talking 4:30AM and yes believe it or not, there were folks there earlier than that…talk about hard core! Well that didn’t last very long for me…A girl needs her beauty sleep!
So that left me with my brilliant idea…gas was just starting to rise and I thought why not..get a little bit of exercise first thing in the morning and get it out of the way….and save on gas….joke was totally on me…”why not”..what they heck was I thinking…and get this…I was able to get another crazy person in on my plan…my great friend dianne…so there we both were…hiking up a hill every morning looking like we were about to die and M saying “faster mommy faster”..barely being able to talk…praying that someone would drive along and let me tie a rope to their car so they could pull us up the hill…oh yeah..did I mention, M is 32 pounds plus the weight of the stroller in the HEAT! Good times…good times in deed…
Funny thing is, when we started we could barely walk up it and now we are running…yes running..well more like walk-run…we do run the entire way back down most days…So why I am writing this here??? Well one brilliant idea leads to another brilliant idea…Run MORE and longer! WHAT??? And do it twice a day….5 days a week….CRAZY!!!
So this it what the plan is…since Monday (almost a week now) we have been run-walking 7 kilometers round trip twice a day..so this is a total of 14 kilometers a day…crazy I know!! but it feels great!!! I have so much more energy and would of never thought a 5k would be possible, but in reality I have been doing more than that daily for 3 months now..ok..so back to why I am writing this here…I figured it is only going to get hotter..and I really really really really want to keep this up…so by me saying it publicly comes accountability..and if I stop…I would be a total loser…LOL!!! and no body wants to be a loser!
No worries…I am not going to bore yall with a weekly fitness journal here on the blog…My plan is to keep an update on my Monday Ramblings..i would not want to say that I haven’t done this or that or show my weight rising so it is more of an incentive to keep chugging along…and push through that damn hill! My goal is not to get to a certain weight or size…I am about accomplishing something that I know I can do with hard work..With weight and certain sizes you have no idea what the results can be or will be and it is hard to get a realistic goal..and more times out of none we give up because the weight isn’t coming up or this or that……So I decided this to be my goal…RUN the entire way up and the entire way down twice a day for the whole week….this comes in time and will most likely take a long time..but i know we can do it…my overall goal is to get back in shape…i mean…really…how much longer can i say..”i just had a baby”..or “this baby weight yada yada yada”…LOL!! She is 2.5yrs now and I dont think that excuse can fly any longer. LOL!!
I did just buy a scale..I know that scale doesn’t give an accurate measurement of improvements…but it is nice to see it go down…I will be posting my weight too..scary!! totally scary!..but here it goes…beginning weight 132.6lbs
If anyone wants to join in on the fitness journal and track your journey with us let me know..It helps to have support from others doing the same thing! I am so thankful that Dianne has agreed to do this with me…On the days I don’t want to do it…I know she is counting on me going…So it keeps me moving and out the door!

PS…In a desperate attempt to not have to get up at 4AM and lug all my “stuff” down to the flea market on Courtney…I thought I might see if any of yall might need some of my stuff..Most stuff is cheap or dirt cheap….so if you are interested shoot me an email and I can give you the low down on the prices…we have a pet free and smoke free home..and I am germ freak so I keep everything really clean….this is what I have…
Fisher-price Laugh and Learn House, Chicco 4-1 Car, Sit and Spin, shape sorta toy, leap frog learning globe and other leap frog toys, doll stroller, clear plastic storage bins, clear plastic storage drawers, DVD’s, VHS’s (don’t laugh, we still own VHS’s), booster seat for eating, potty chair, and Pampered Chef kitchen tools and bowls (gently used, In another life I was a consultant….still am every now and then..ehehe..anyways it is stuff I used during shows)
