my sailor is leaving soon…and surprisingly I am not freaking out…YET!!! This is a first for me (the not freaking out part)…Which tells me I have grown in my confidence of what I can handle in motherhood…either that or I am just too darn busy to think about it!! LOL!! most likely the latter!!!

speaking of busy…WOW is all I can say!!! Just simply WOW!! I can not thank you all enough for your support, comments and questions!!! My photography business is growing way beyond what I could of dreamed of!! and for that I thank you!!!

I actually am able to put my hair into two pony tail holders!!!! Holy Shamoly!!! This hasn’t happen since…well…I don’t know when…Tony is super STOKED about it….he has been begging me to grow it out….little does he know..I have a hair appointment on Friday..eheheheheeh…what is it with guys and long hair??? I remember when I first chopped my hair off waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when…my dad was in….well lets just say…it wasn’t in his top 10 of Shelia’s best moves..LOL!!!

what exactly does 4.30 mean???…it means I will be walking EVERYWHERE….4.30 for diesel…I say lets all gather up the horses and buggies and boycott outrageous gas prices….who is with me??

sometimes…well actually ALL the time…I say “SURE” before I REALLY know what I am getting into…and this weekend was no exception…I was asked by some friends to come out to a festival and take some photos..and of course I said “SURE”…having NO idea as to what to expect…what I found was great food, lovely people, hospitalityly that could be felt miles away…even if we didn’t speak the same language…I felt welcomed!!
It was a fundraiser festival to build a new church building in Yomitan…There were little girls dressed up in the most snazzy of all get out..with no detail gone un-noticed…..Floats that were created with LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of love…I am talking weeeeee hours into the morning kind of love…Tiaras, Youth and Wisdom all over the place…great music…dancing…and lots lots more…here are some shots…more to come later….
I meet this lovely lady…super sweet…she is 98 and her husband below is 94…or the other way around…they look fabulous!! and I promise..I did no post processing to them…this is them as they are…beauty and grace and wisdom at it’s best!!
Here is one of the cuties!!! one of many…bless them..as it was like 150 degrees out there!! I was a sweaty mess…as usual!! LOL…thank goodness I wore black! LOL!!
What I thought was down right cute-to-boot..was the fact that NONE…I mean NONE of the girls could touch the ground!! How sweet is that!!!??!!!
Here are some of the floats!!! Super great job on them!! They even matched the floats decor to compliment the girl’s dress that was riding in it!! I told you…no detail was left un-noticed!!!
I had a great time…and was sooooooooo glad that I simply said…. ”SURE”……give it a try…you never know where a simple “sure” will take you!!
